Why Linus Torvalds Doesn’t Like Using Debian Or Ubuntu Linux?

 Linus Torvalds on Debian:

You’ll find it amusing to know that Linus finds Debian difficult to install. Yes, this happened during an interview in 2007 and here’s what he had to say about the same a few years later:
I’M SORRY, YOU MAY WANT TO CLOSE YOUR EARS NOW, I WANT A DISTRIBUTION TO BE EASY TO INSTALL, SO THAT I CAN JUST GET ON WITH MY LIFE, WHICH IS MOSTLY KERNEL.
Linus calls Debian a ”pointless exercise” as the point of a distribution is to make things simple and easy to install.

Linus Torvalds on Ubuntu Linux:

In another interview, Linus talked about Ubuntu Linux. While he calls Debian too technical, he appreciates Ubuntu for making Linux familiar to the users coming from a Windows and OS X background. Still, he prefers Fedora over Ubuntu.
He says:
I’VE TRIED UBUNTU A COUPLE OF TIMES OVER THE YEARS, MAINLY BECAUSE THE THING UBUNTU DID SO WELL WAS MAKE DEBIAN USABLE.
Over the past years, Debian has worked to make its installation easier. Today, the Debian installer has made things simpler by offering a choice of graphical, text, or speech synthesis options.
